American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown/Immediate Care Unit position requiring telemetry skills and a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience.

Stepdown/Immediate Care Unit in a hospital setting

Patient acuity varies and may include patients who would be classified as Progressive Care or Telemetry in larger facilities
-
Typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, with flexibility to 1:5 during emergencies

Telemetry monitoring required, including strip reading

EMR: Cerner
-
Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), weekdays with some weekend coverage

Blocked schedules may be considered for weekend blocks only (Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon)

13-week contract with possibility of extension

Active WV or compact RN license required

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg or Telemetry experience required; 2+ years of Stepdown experience preferred

Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips required

IV insertion skills required

Cerner EMR experience preferred

Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Two manager or charge nurse references (within the past 2 years) required for consideration

Burgundy and/or white scrubs required; scrubs are not provided
