The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the precision production of armor plate components using cutting-edge CNC machinery. This role involves guiding a high-output machine shop environment to ensure that all parts meet the stringent structural integrity and high-tolerance fitment standards required for specialized vehicle platforms.

Lead a team of operators managing Trumpf CNC laser cutting and hydraulic press brake equipment.

Direct the workflow of armor plate components from initial laser cut to final precision bend.

Act as the technical authority for reviewing blueprints and CAD drawings to ensure accuracy.

Oversee the selection of specialized tooling and dies for heavy-gauge armor steel.

Manage a comprehensive maintenance program for all CNC machine shop equipment.

Monitor quality control using calipers, protractors, and squares to verify high-tolerance parts.

Enforce shop-wide safety standards and OSHA compliance for material handling and machine operation.

5+ years of leadership experience in a CNC machine shop or heavy metal fabrication environment.

Expertise in CNC programming and operation, specifically with Trumpf equipment.

Expert understanding of how heavy-gauge steel behaves under pressure and bend allowances.

Monday through Friday, First Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, onsite in Pittsfield, MA.
Competitive hourly pay ranging from $32 to $40 per hour, with an annual salary potential of $66,560 to $83,200.
