Responsibilities
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including shift management and staff scheduling
- Supervise and train team members on food preparation, customer service, POS systems (Toast), and food safety protocols
- Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety are maintained across all service areas
- Manage inventory control, monitor stock levels, and coordinate food ordering to minimize waste and control costs
- Handle cash transactions accurately, perform cash handling duties, and reconcile daily sales using POS systems
- Support staff training initiatives to develop skills in food production, kitchen management, and hospitality excellence
- Maintain a positive environment that promotes teamwork, hospitality standards, and exceptional guest experiences
Requirements
- Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management
- Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience within the food industry or casual dining settings
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and food handling regulations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and communicate clearly across all levels of staff
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for cash handling, inventory control, and budgeting purposes
- Experience with managing hospitality teams in diverse settings including fine dining or banquet environments is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy shifts
