Glencadia Dog Camp, a cage-free dog boarding facility in the Hudson Valley on 20 acres, is hiring a reliable and energetic team member to join our pack. Initial role: one or two NYC drive shifts per week (2 PM - midnight), usually Monday or Thursday. Tips average about $100 per night. Hourly wage starts at $25 per hour and can rapidly increase to $30 per hour.
If you take this job, please be available most Monday and Thursday afternoon/nights. If you are not available for a particular drive night, please let me know more than a week in advance. There may be even more trips that two per week: optional "premium" trips at other times and extra trips around holidays. With wages and tips, a drive should be $350 or so on average.
If the candidate is interested, over time there may also be work on site dog care (starting 8 AM), including weekend shifts. We’re looking for someone who is good with dogs and their loving owners.
Clean driving record required! No DUI! No points!
Driving:
- Safely drive a large Mercedes Sprinter van to/from NYC (Monday & Thursday evenings)
- Shift typically runs 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM–1:00 AM, depending on bookings
- Safely interact professionally with clients
- Handle dogs with care
- Receive tips from clients—amounts vary based on punctuality and positive customer interactions
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Comfortable driving in NYC
- Use our apps to track information and communicate internally with co-workers
- Must love dogs and enjoy working outdoors in all seasons
- Reliable, proactive, and ready to jump in wherever needed
- Ability to lift 30+ lbs occasionally and be on your feet for extended periods
Compensation & Benefits
