The Phase II staff nurse is a registered nurse who is responsible for safe and effective Cardiac Rehabilitation (CR) and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (PR) for Phase II patients, PAD patients, and Prevention/Maintenance clients (Phase III), as well as for the education of Phase II patients, and completion of stress testing in the hospital stress lab. The CR RN, in collaboration with the Cardiopulmonary Rehab staff, is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care of all clients as they progress through a prescribed exercise program. He/she assists in the gathering of outcome data. The CR RN ensures provision of services in collaboration with the referring physician and in accordance with the objectives and policies of Graham Hospital and the Graham Cardiopulmonary Rehab Department. The CR RN reports to the Department Coordinator/Director.
Graduate of an Accredited School of Professional Nursing
- Completes Hospital and Departmental Orientation
- 2 years Cardiac Nursing experience preferred
- Current Illinois Licensure
- BLS certification through AHA required.
- ACLS recognition or willing to obtain
- Ability to interpret EKG & Rhythm strips
