Preschool Teacher (Ages 3–5) – Full-Time
Location: In person
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 or 9:00 am - 5:30 PM time
Pay: $17.13 per hour - $23.00
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and patient Preschool Teacher who has a genuine passion for working with children ages 3–5. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, engaging environment that supports children’s social, emotional, and early academic development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Care for a classroom of up to 10 preschool-aged children
- Introduce foundational learning concepts such as counting, ABCs, colors, shapes, and tracing
- Support social-emotional development through positive interaction and guidance
- Foster a safe, welcoming, and growth-oriented classroom environment
- Assist with diaper changes and potty training
- Maintain classroom cleanliness, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing toys and surfaces
- Perform daily closing duties
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- At least 1 year of experience working with children
- TB test and background check (required)
- Short-Term Certificates (Entry Level)
- Initial ECE/STARS-aligned courses
- Focus on basics like child development, health & safety, and classroom interaction
- Meets many Washington State childcare licensing requirements
Certifications
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) training
- Food Handler’s Card
- 30-hour STARS training
