Pet Vet Is Hiring: Full-Time Veterinary Technicians & Assistants
Are you passionate about animals and ready to make a real difference in their lives? Pet Vet is looking for dedicated, full-time Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants to join our team! You'll be caring for dogs, cats, exotics, and even wildlife — supporting our veterinarians and providing comfort and top-quality care to every patient.
In this role, you’ll also be a key point of contact with pet parents, so strong communication skills are a must.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Taking temperatures and weighing animals
- Discussing vaccines, medications, lab work, and care recommendations with clients
- Educating clients on preventatives, prescription diets, rebates, and medication types
- Cleaning and resetting exam rooms and tables
- Restraining animals during exams and procedures
- Obtaining accurate patient histories
- Calming and handling frightened or injured animals (including exotics and wildlife)
- Administering and preparing medications and vaccinations
- Assisting during emergencies
- Maintaining medical records and logs
- Supporting pet owners with clear, compassionate communication
- Performing general hospital cleaning and laundry tasks
- Replenishing and rotating stock
Skills & Qualifications:
For Licensed Veterinary Technicians:
- Experience with anesthesia, radiology, lab work, blood draws, and restraint
- A commitment to the highest standards of medical and surgical care
For Veterinary Assistants:
- Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care role is a plus
- Former or current pet ownership is a bonus
- Strong multitasking and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions and remain calm under pressure
- Comfortable with cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, and more
- Able to lift up to 35 lbs and occasionally assist in emergency situations
- High school diploma required; veterinary assistant certification is a plus
