Job Title: Warehouse Clerk
Department: Warehouse/Operations
Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor
The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for receiving, organizing, and distributing windows, doors, and installation materials to support daily operations. This role ensures inventory accuracy, prepares materials for installation crews, maintains a safe and organized warehouse, and assists with loading and unloading deliveries.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of windows, doors, hardware, and installation materials for accuracy and damage.
- Organize and maintain warehouse inventory in designated storage locations.
- Pick, stage, and prepare materials for daily installation schedules.
- Load and unload delivery trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment.
- Perform routine inventory counts and assist with inventory control.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movement, deliveries, and returns.
- Coordinate with office staff, project managers, and installation crews to ensure timely material availability.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Identify and report damaged or missing materials to management.
- Assist with processing returned materials and warranty items.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience preferred.
- Experience in the window, door, construction, or building materials industry is a plus.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and documentation.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the workday.
- Ability to safely move large and heavy windows and doors.
