The Opportunity
Pinpoint is looking for a Business Development Executive to grow our presence in the New York City Metro/Tri-State market. This is a hunter-focused role for someone who knows how to identify opportunities, open doors, build trust, and move complex sales conversations forward.
The right person will thrive in highly collaborative environments, partnering confidently with professional sports teams, the nation’s top creative agencies, globally recognized brands, world-class architectural firms, and premier entertainment venues. They will bring the skill, composure, and strategic awareness required to translate ambitious ideas into remarkable physical environments and branded experiences. Ideal candidates will have developed their hunter-focused business development skills and be able to rely on entrepreneurial instincts and a strategic mindset to create a sustained pipeline of project opportunities.
What You’ll Do
- Build a sales plan and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities across the NYC Metro/Tri-State market, with a disciplined approach to qualification, prioritization, and long-term account value.
- Prospect into professional sports teams, major venues, top creative agencies, entertainment brands, world-class architects, developers, and organizations with physical brand experience needs—identifying where Pinpoint can create meaningful impact.
- Lead outreach, discovery calls, in-person meetings, live and remote capabilities presentations, site visits, and proposal conversations with confidence, clarity, and a strong grasp of how physical environments come together.
- Run a structured discovery process—asking the right questions, uncovering constraints, clarifying decision drivers, and translating ambiguous early-stage conversations into actionable project definitions.
- Understand client goals, budgets, timelines, brand standards, architectural intent, and technical requirements, then map those needs to Pinpoint’s design, fabrication, and production capabilities.
- Facilitate early design conversations by interpreting creative direction, understanding design intent, and collaborating with internal design resources to shape concepts that are both inspiring and buildable.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with estimating, project management, design, production, and leadership to shape smart, profitable opportunities and ensure alignment from concept through execution.
- Use Pinpoint’s internal CRM system, Pipeline, to track activities, manage opportunities, forecast revenue, and maintain clean, accurate sales data.
- Own the sales process end-to-end from outreach through discovery, proposal development, negotiation, and close.
- Transfer sold projects to project management with clarity and completeness, ensuring the team has the information needed to execute while you stay aware and informed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Grow accounts year-over-year by staying connected, identifying future opportunities, and building long-term trust with clients who value a partner that understands both the creative and technical sides of experiential environments.
