We’re looking for an experienced dental operations leader who knows how to turn strategy into results.
As our organization continues to grow, we need a Regional Operations Manager who can lead multiple dental practices, develop strong office leaders, identify opportunities for growth, and create consistent operational excellence across the region.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys working with people, solving operational challenges, improving performance, and building teams that deliver exceptional patient care.

The Opportunity
The Regional Operations Manager will be responsible for the overall performance and operational health of multiple dental practices. You’ll partner with practice managers, doctors, clinical teams, and senior leadership to establish clear goals, improve processes, and ensure each location has the people and resources needed to succeed.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable reviewing financial results, coaching a manager, troubleshooting an operational issue, or developing a plan to improve practice performance.
Key ResponsibilitiesPractice Operations & Performance
- Provide leadership and operational oversight for multiple dental practices within an assigned region.
- Establish performance expectations and work with individual locations to achieve production, collections, profitability, and growth objectives.
- Identify opportunities to increase general dentistry, hygiene, specialty services, and overall practice utilization.
- Review financial and operational reports to identify trends, opportunities, and areas requiring corrective action.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce unnecessary costs, and strengthen practice profitability.
- Monitor practice KPIs and provide ongoing accountability and support to office leadership.
- Evaluate opportunities to expand provider coverage, specialties, and services based on market and patient needs.
- Ensure offices maintain a professional, safe, clean, and patient-focused environment.
- Partner with leadership to develop and execute regional business plans.
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, coach, develop, and retain strong practice management teams.
- Provide ongoing guidance and mentorship to office managers and regional leadership teams.
- Conduct performance reviews and establish development goals for team members.
- Evaluate staffing needs and ensure appropriate coverage across practices.
- Review and approve schedules, time-off requests, and vacation planning as appropriate.
- Address employee relations and performance issues promptly and professionally.
- Create a culture of accountability, teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement.
- Help managers develop the skills necessary to lead their teams independently and effectively.
Patient Experience & Compliance
- Promote a consistently high-quality patient experience across all locations.
- Monitor patient feedback and assist teams in resolving concerns and service issues.
- Ensure practices follow applicable HIPAA, OSHA, Dental Board, and insurance requirements.
- Maintain appropriate operational and regulatory standards across all locations.
- Partner with clinical and administrative teams to support high-quality patient care while maintaining efficient operations.
- Ensure billing and collections processes are being effectively managed.
Leadership Partnership
- Collaborate with executive leadership on regional objectives, budgets, staffing, and growth initiatives.
- Communicate practice performance, challenges, and opportunities to senior leadership.
- Translate company goals into practical action plans for individual offices.
- Assist with new initiatives, process improvements, and expansion opportunities.
- Help establish consistent operational standards across the organization.
What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years of experience managing multiple dental practices or in a regional dental leadership role.
- Strong understanding of dental practice operations and the business side of dentistry.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop practice managers and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience managing financial performance, budgets, production, collections, and profitability.
- Proven track record of improving practice performance and team results.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple locations while maintaining visibility into day-to-day operations.
- Experience with Dentrix is preferred but not required.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation: $65,000–$85,000 annually, depending on experience, plus a monthly bonus opportunity tied to regional revenue and performance.
