Duties
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual needs and develop customized treatment plans
- Educate clients on self-care practices and post-treatment recommendations to enhance results
- Maintain accurate documentation of each session, including client progress and treatment details
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by adhering to sanitation standards and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with clients to address questions, explain procedures, and foster a comfortable experience
- Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and continuing education requirements such as CPR certification
Skills
- Strong patient service orientation with excellent client communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy
- Proven experience in pain management techniques and client assessment methods
- Proficiency in various massage modalities including Swedish massage, deep tissue therapy, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments
- Ability to adapt treatments based on individual client needs and feedback
- Knowledge of occupational health standards and med spa procedures is a plus
- Certification as a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)
- Demonstrated customer service excellence with a positive attitude and professional demeanor
