Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman/Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repair work across our residential and multifamily properties. The ideal candidate will have experience in a variety of trades and be able to complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and repair work at residential and multifamily properties.
- Repair, patch, texture, and paint drywall/sheetrock damage.
- Install, repair, and adjust interior and exterior doors, including locks, hardware, and weather stripping.
- Install and repair flooring materials, including laminate, vinyl plank, tile, and carpet transitions.
- Complete basic carpentry tasks, including trim work, baseboards, cabinets, and minor framing repairs.
- Perform unit turns, including preparing vacant units for new residents.
- Conduct general cleaning and debris removal as needed to maintain properties in good condition.
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks and property inspections.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on projects.
- Communicate effectively with tenants, property managers, vendors, and team members.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company policies and applicable building codes.
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in clean and serviceable condition.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in property maintenance, handyman services, or a related field preferred.
- Working knowledge of drywall repair, painting, flooring installation, carpentry, and basic repairs.
- Ability to diagnose maintenance issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing ladders, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Must provide basic hand tools commonly used in maintenance work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in single family homes and multifamily property maintenance.
