Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and local electrical codes, including NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and NEC (National Electrical Code). You will play a vital role in supporting renovation projects, construction sites, and ongoing electrical system operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability in every task. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse electrical systems, from high-voltage wiring to low-voltage control systems, utilizing your technical skills to keep operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems in accordance with electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults quickly and accurately.
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely while adhering to NFPA 70 compliance standards and local electrical codes.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to execute precise wiring and system configurations.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems during construction or renovation projects to ensure safety procedures are followed.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for installation and repair tasks efficiently.
- Follow all electrical safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents or hazards on construction sites or within operational facilities.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to coordinate installation schedules and ensure seamless project execution.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems.
- Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, local electrical codes, and safety procedures.
- Skilled in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and schematics for accurate wiring and system setup.
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring, low-voltage control systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers; power tools including drills; testing devices like ohmmeters; and other diagnostic equipment.
- Construction site experience with the ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions while maintaining safety protocols.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently using electrical diagnostics techniques.
- Valid electrician license or certification as required by local regulations; additional handyman or frame carpentry experience is a plus.
