We are currently hiring for a 2nd (swing) shift MIG Welder for our client in Golden. This is a Shop/Production environment and they manufacture and specialize in providing stainless steel products used in water infrastructure! This opportunity is temp to hire.
2nd Shift Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 3:30pm to 2:00am, OT as needed, including some Fridays (10 hour shifts.)
Pay Range: $25.00/hr to $36.00/hr, PLUS a $2.00/hr shift premium (Rate offered is determined by experience and welding test results.)
Summary of duties: This is a manufacturing / shop environment and you will be welding stainless steel and other metal to create products used in water infrastructure. You will use welding equipment plus assist with fabrication duties if/as needed. Must be comfortable lifting 50lbs and standing/walking on concrete floors. After training, each Welder has their own station and are expected to work independently on their production orders.
Requirements: Must have 4+ years of experience with MIG on stainless steel, and prefer basics of TIG, Stick, and Fluxcore welding. Must be comfortable with general fabrication duties as needed including using hand/power tools and operating machinery such as sandblasters, punch press, drill press, etc. Must be comfortable lifting up to 50lbs and standing/walking on concrete floors. Steel toed shoes and welding hood required. (GED or High School Diploma required.)
((Welding Test Information: Vertical down MIG test. This test consists of 2 pieces of a ¼ inch stainless steel plate that is 3X6 inches, beveled on both inside edges at 22.5 degrees at each joint , with a gap of 1/16" to 1/8" and welded in a vertical down position. Short circuit 3G vertical downhill with full penetration. They'll be looking at the penetration of the weld. ))
