We are seeking a temporary contract professional for a short-term engagement to assist with accounts receivable, customer data cleanup, and invoicing system transition support. The initial engagement term is expected to be three (3) months The agreement may be extended beyond the initial term with adjusted compensation based on business needs and performance.
Position Responsibilities & Requirements
- Experience cleaning up customer and sales contact lists within QuickBooks Online, including reviewing existing records for accuracy, inactive accounts, and duplicate entries.
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online with a clear understanding of accounts receivable workflows, customer invoicing, payment applications, and aging reports.
- Highly technical and detail-oriented with the ability to learn and adapt to new software platforms quickly.
- Familiarity with Newspaper Manager preferred. Newspaper Manager is an advertising and publishing management software commonly used by newspapers and media organizations for ad tracking, billing, insertion orders, scheduling, and invoicing workflows
- Willingness to learn and assist with transitioning invoicing operations from QuickBooks Online to Newspaper Manager
- Set up customer accounts within Newspaper Manager and prepare insertion orders accurately and timely.
- Assist with cleaning up accounts receivable balances in QuickBooks Online and reviewing aging reports for outstanding balances and discrepancies.
- Review incoming payments and confirm/match payments within BILL.com.
- Communicate and coordinate regularly with the Director of Advertising and Marketing and the Chief Officer of Technology and Grants.
This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and prior experience supporting accounting, billing, or advertising operations in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $2,000.00 - $3,000.00 per month
