MRI Technologist
Location: Watertown, NY

Shift: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Hours: 36 hours/week
Weekends: Required
Pay Range: $38 – $50/hour
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our Radiology team. Under the direction of a Radiologist, the MRI Technologist performs a variety of MRI and radiology procedures with minimal supervision, ensuring high-quality imaging and strict adherence to patient safety protocols.
The ideal candidate will provide excellent patient care while efficiently performing imaging procedures and serving as the primary point of contact for patients throughout their imaging experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI and radiology procedures according to established protocols.
- Operate MRI equipment safely and effectively.
- Ensure proper patient identification, screening, positioning, and preparation.
- Follow all MRI safety protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Obtain quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
- Complete required documentation accurately.
- Work independently while exercising sound judgment and initiative.
- Interact professionally with patients, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
- Assist with the overall operations and functions of the Radiology Department.
- Maintain a strong focus on patient care and quality of service.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a 24-month AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- 12 months of previous MRI experience preferred.
- ARRT certification in Radiology required.
- ARRT certification in MRI (MR) preferred.
- NYS license in Radiologic Technology required.
- NYS IV Contrast certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
- BLS certification required or must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
- Strong knowledge of MRI safety, imaging procedures, and patient care protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compensation & Schedule
- Pay: $38 – $50/hour
- 36 hours per week
- Evening shift: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
- Weekends required
