Job Description: Stockroom Receiving Clerk

Position Summary
The Stockroom Receiving Clerk supports daily operations by receiving, inspecting, storing, and distributing materials accurately and efficiently. This role plays a key part in maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring quality standards are met, and supporting production schedules through timely material handling.
Key Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and products against purchase orders and inspection procedures

Approve or reject materials based on quality standards and documented inspection criteria

Accurately receive materials into inventory systems and maintain inventory integrity

Store, move, pick, and deliver materials to internal departments to support production and work orders

Prepare and document non-conforming material and communicate quality issues as needed

Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment safely, including handling large or heavy steel shipments

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stockroom and receiving area

Support shipping activities or return materials to suppliers when required

Adapt to changing priorities based on production and material needs
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

Previous experience in receiving, warehouse, or stockroom operations preferred

Forklift experience or ability to obtain forklift certification required

Ability to read inspection documents, drawings, and basic work instructions

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality

Ability to lift, move, and handle materials of varying sizes and weights

Self-motivated, dependable, and flexible with changing work demands
