Little Scholars Academy is a licensed and an Early Childcare provider. Located in New Orleans, near Gentilly area.
Opportunity:
- Small childcare center has a full-time position in the infant classroom. This person provides high quality care to children 6 weeks to 18 months.
- Ideal candidate loves working with children and families and is interested in gaining more education and knowledge in the early childhood field. MUST BE ECT QUALIFIED (see below).
- Wonderful education from certified Educators throughout the state of Louisiana within a year of working.
- Weekends off, Paid Holiday’s after introductory period. Potential increase in pay rate after evaluation.
Requirements:
- Must be currently Early Childhood Teacher qualified per Louisiana State standards. Resumes lacking qualifications will not be considered.
- A High School diploma and at least 2500 hours (= 1+ year) of experience working with children; or
- A Child Development Associate (CDA); or
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Human Development & Family Studies, Child Development or Special Education, ; or
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field and prior experience working with children;
- Must be 18 years of age and fluent in the English language.
- Able to pass background checks.
- Able to lift 35 pounds, able to walk, squat/kneel, sit on floor, lift and lower children, see, hear, speak with children.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $9.00 - $12.00 per hour
