The Manufacturing Chemist I is responsible for the production of commercial products for the profile of Specialist Products and Lab Products. This role involves production of all commercial products as assigned per training and experience level. The Manufacturing Chemist I supports investigations, corrective actions, safety, and quality improvements on production operations with the SP and LP teams.
Essential Functions:
- Perform synthesis batches for the profile of SP and LP products as published on the weekly production schedule.
- Receive training as required to execute established production processes.
- Work cross functionally with other operational teams to resolve equipment and technical issues as they arise.
- Quality Assurance:
- Complete and document all activities and deviations per company GDP and QMS standards.
- Complete departmental PM and daily activities per established procedures.
- Aid in non-conformance investigations and adapt corrective actions within time allotted as assigned by management.
- Ensure a safe working environment by following procedures, protocols, and 5s visual standards.
- Report any near-misses, accidents, or safety violations immediately. Assist as needed in EHS investigations.
- Inventory Management:
- Contribute to inventory accuracy by ensuring batch issuance, consumable usage, and waste tracking per assigned batch tickets.
- Communication:
- Communicate to peers and management in a concise manner.
Qualifications
