Position Summary
The Client Transportation Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and professional transportation for Transformations Health Services (THS) clients to and from scheduled appointments, including therapy, psychiatry, nursing, case management, group services, and other approved medical or behavioral health appointments.
This position plays a critical role in reducing missed appointments, improving client engagement, increasing continuity of care, and ensuring clients have access to medically necessary behavioral health services. Drivers serve as ambassadors of THS and are expected to provide exceptional customer service while maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and safety at all times.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Client Transportation
- Safely transport clients to and from scheduled THS appointments.
- Assist clients with entering and exiting the vehicle when appropriate.
- Follow all traffic laws and safe driving practices.
- Maintain an excellent driving record.
- Utilize GPS and company-approved routing to maximize efficiency.
- Confirm client identity before transport.
- Ensure all clients are dropped off and picked up at approved locations.
Scheduling & Communication
- Review daily transportation schedules.
- Maintain communication with office staff regarding arrival times and schedule changes.
- Notify office staff immediately of delays, accidents, emergencies, or no-show clients.
- Coordinate transportation changes throughout the day.
- Assist with confirming appointments when requested.
Vehicle Responsibilities
- Perform daily vehicle inspections before beginning transportation.
- Ensure the vehicle remains clean, sanitized, and presentable.
- Monitor fuel levels.
- Report maintenance concerns immediately.
- Maintain mileage and vehicle logs.
- Ensure all safety equipment is present and operational.
Client Service
Provide an exceptional client experience by:
- Greeting clients professionally.
- Treating every client with dignity and respect.
- Maintaining a calm, friendly, and compassionate demeanor.
- Assisting clients who may have mobility limitations (within training and company policy).
- Helping reduce transportation-related anxiety for clients.
Safety & Compliance
- Maintain strict HIPAA confidentiality.
- Never discuss client information with unauthorized individuals.
- Follow all company transportation policies.
- Complete incident reports immediately when necessary.
- Follow emergency procedures when appropriate.
- Report safety concerns immediately.
Additional Responsibilities
- Transport laboratory specimens or paperwork between offices as requested.
- Pick up office supplies or medications (when authorized).
- Assist with community events and outreach transportation.
- Support office operations during downtime.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license.
- Clean driving record.
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Ability to pass:
- Criminal Background Check
- BMV Driving Record Review
- Drug Screen
- Current automobile insurance.
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience transporting medical or behavioral health clients.
- Experience working with individuals with mental health diagnoses.
- Customer service experience.
- Defensive driving certification.
- Knowledge of local communities and roadways.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Ability to enter and exit vehicles repeatedly.
- Ability to assist clients entering and exiting vehicles.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to safely operate passenger vehicles in various weather conditions.
Work Environment
The position requires travel throughout the assigned service area and includes:

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
