Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated Warehouse Lead / Load Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations for a fast-paced event rental company. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring rental inventory is accurately prepared, loaded, returned, inspected, cleaned, and organized while leading warehouse staff to meet demanding event schedules. The ideal candidate thrives in a deadline-driven environment, demonstrates strong leadership skills, and maintains high standards of organization, accountability, and customer service.
The Warehouse Lead / Load Manager coordinates outgoing and incoming rental orders, manages loading crews, maintains inventory accuracy, communicates with logistics and operations teams, and ensures the warehouse operates safely and efficiently. This position plays a critical role in delivering exceptional events by ensuring every order leaves complete, on time, and in excellent condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily warehouse operations and supervise warehouse staff.
- Oversee loading and unloading of event rental equipment.
- Verify outgoing orders for accuracy and completeness before departure.
- Receive returned inventory by accurately counting items and inspecting for damage.
- Document damages and communicate issues through company systems.
- Prioritize cleaning and preparation of inventory based on upcoming rental schedules.
- Manage will-call customer pickups and returns professionally.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and front desk area.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment safely.
- Train, coach, and hold team members accountable for performance and safety.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory audits.
- Communicate effectively with logistics, sales, operations, and delivery teams to ensure seamless execution.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse leadership or event rental experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Forklift experience or certification preferred.
- Comfortable lifting up to 75 lbs. and working both indoors and outdoors.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required during peak event seasons.
A successful Warehouse Lead / Load Manager consistently delivers accurate orders on time, maintains an organized warehouse, minimizes inventory loss and damage, develops a productive warehouse team, and ensures every rental item is event-ready before it leaves the facility.
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
