Equity Staffing Group is seeking a
Pharmacy Technician to join a growing pharmacy operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented pharmacy professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is passionate about ensuring patients receive their medications accurately and on time.
In this role, you'll support pharmacy operations by preparing prescription orders for pharmacist verification, maintaining inventory, replenishing supplies, and helping ensure efficient medication fulfillment. This position plays a critical role in delivering quality care to patients who rely on timely access to important—and often life-saving—medications.
Schedule:
- Full-time (40 hours per week)
- Mon-Fri
- 6:00am- 2:30pm
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime or weekends based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and prepare prescription orders for pharmacist verification.
- Retrieve medications from inventory and accurately count, label, and package prescriptions.
- Assist with packing and shipping completed prescription orders to patients.
- Maintain drug inventory and automated dispensing systems.
- Replenish workstation supplies, including vials, caps, labels, and other pharmacy materials.
- Remove expired or outdated medications from inventory and ensure proper stock rotation.
- Assist with inventory replenishment and maintain established par levels for pre-packaged supplies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
- Utilize multiple computer systems simultaneously to support pharmacy operations and documentation.
- Occasionally contact patients regarding customer service inquiries or shipment-related questions.
- Follow all pharmacy procedures, quality standards, HIPAA regulations, and safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Active New Jersey Pharmacy Technician License (Required)
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous pharmacy technician experience in a retail, mail-order, specialty, or long-term care pharmacy preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
- Basic computer proficiency with the ability to navigate multiple systems.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
