American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Oncology (MS/Tele) night shift position caring for adult and geriatric solid tumor cancer patients, with telemetry monitoring skills required.

Inpatient medical oncology unit specializing in care for all solid tumor cancers across the full cancer journey, including new diagnosis, active treatment, and end-of-life transition

Patient population includes adults and geriatric patients with diagnoses such as breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancers, as well as patients receiving antineoplastic chemotherapy

Strong emphasis on infection prevention protocols and fall prevention

Staffing ratio goal is 1:4, with a potential maximum of 1:5

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30

Weekend scheduling is variable based on unit needs; no set or blocked scheduling

Self-scheduling requests are submitted by the traveler and considered before the final schedule is posted

Floating required to other Med/Surg Oncology units

EMR: Epic

Active OH RN license or Compact RN license required

Current BLS certification required

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Telemetry interpretation and monitoring skills required

Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Oncology nursing experience preferred but not required

ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred

2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; co-worker references are not accepted

Orientation begins with the first week on Monday–Friday day shift, followed by a second week of 36 hours of on-unit orientation with a preceptor

Former employees of this facility are eligible to return as travelers after a minimum 6-month separation

All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract duration

Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be initiated promptly after contract signing; candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location or receive a mailed fingerprinting packet to complete urgently
