Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Safety Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in safety principles and OSHA practices who is eager to grow their career in both industrial and construction environments. The ideal candidate brings a strong work ethic, a proactive mindset, and a genuine passion for creating safe, compliant, and efficient workplaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing and maintaining safety programs in compliance with OSHA standards and company policies
- Conduct routine site inspections in industrial and construction settings to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Support incident investigations, including root cause analysis and documentation
- Help develop and deliver safety training, including toolbox talks and onboarding sessions
- Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation accurately and consistently
- Collaborate with supervisors and project teams to promote a culture of safety
- Monitor compliance with PPE requirements and safe work practices
- Stay current on OSHA regulations and industry best practices
- Give presentations on a regular basis surrounding health and safety to contractors in a construction environment
- Other duties as needed by the department
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- OSHA 10 certification required (OSHA 30 is a plus)
- Foundational knowledge of OSHA regulations and general safety practices
- Internship, coursework, or hands-on exposure to industrial or construction safety is preferred
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in both office and field environments
- Must be bilingual English/Spanish
- Rotating shift schedules will be necessary, 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts rotating

Work Environment:
- Combination of office, industrial, and active construction site settings
- May require walking job sites, climbing stairs, and wearing PPE
- Occasional early mornings, weekends or extended hours depending on project needs
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
