Radius Recycling is looking for a customer-focused and detail-oriented Scale House Operator to join our team in Lithonia, GA. In this role, you'll assist customers, process transactions, operate truck scales, and help keep daily operations running smoothly.
We're seeking individuals who enjoy working with people, are comfortable using computers, and can stay organized in a fast-paced environment. Experience in recycling or scrap metal is helpful but not required. We will train the right candidate on metals identification, grading, pricing procedures, and our operating systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with backgrounds in customer service, logistics, dispatching, warehouse administration, retail operations, transportation, or similar fields.
What You'll Do
- Greet customers and provide excellent service.
- Weigh inbound and outbound loads using computerized truck scales.
- Process customer transactions and maintain accurate records.
- Direct customers to the appropriate unloading areas.
- Answer questions regarding materials we accept and company procedures.
- Coordinate with office and operations teams to ensure accurate documentation.
- Complete required paperwork and maintain data accuracy.
- Monitor scale performance and report equipment issues.
- Follow all company safety and environmental policies.
Don't worry if you don't know metals identification or scrap grading. We provide training!

Preferred
- Experience in customer service, transportation, logistics, dispatching, warehouse operations, retail operations, or administrative support.
- Experience working in an industrial, manufacturing, construction, or outdoor environment.
- High school diploma or GED.
