West Boylston Public Schools is seeking a highly qualified and collaborative Integrated Preschool Teacher to join the Major Edwards Elementary School team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, inclusive early childhood instruction and specially designed instruction to preschool-aged students with and without disabilities within an integrated preschool classroom setting.Position Responsibilities: The Integrated Preschool Teacher is responsible for designing and implementing developmentally appropriate, standards-based instruction that meets the diverse academic, developmental, communication, and social-emotional needs of young learners. The teacher creates a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes student access, participation, independence, and progress within the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and early childhood learning standards.The successful candidate will: Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including appropriate goals, accommodations, modifications, specially designed instruction, and progress monitoring aligned with student needs.Provide evidence-based instruction and interventions that support early literacy, early numeracy, language development, communication, executive functioning, social-emotional learning, self-regulation, play-based learning, and school readiness skills.Utilize assessment data, student performance information, and ongoing progress monitoring to inform instructional decisions and adjust instruction to support student growth.Implement inclusive instructional practices that support access to the general education curriculum and promote meaningful participation for students with disabilities in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) requirements.Apply principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to provide multiple means of engagement, representation, and expression to support the needs of all learners.Establish and maintain a positive classroom culture that promotes student engagement, independence, belonging, and positive behavioral support.Collect, analyze, and maintain student data to monitor progress toward IEP goals and inform educational programming.Complete required special education documentation, including progress reports, evaluations, and other compliance-related responsibilities.Participate actively in the special education Team process, including IEP meetings, evaluation discussions, and collaborative planning.The Integrated Preschool Teacher works collaboratively with: Related service providers, including speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and other specialists;Special education staff and paraprofessionals;General education colleagues;Families and caregivers; andSchool administrators.The teacher supports strong home-school partnerships and communicates effectively with families regarding student progress, needs, and educational programming.The successful candidate will demonstrate professional practices aligned with the Massachusetts Educator Evaluation Framework, including: High expectations for all students;Culturally responsive and inclusive teaching practices;Effective classroom management and learning environment strategies;Collaboration and communication with colleagues and families;Reflective practice and commitment to continuous professional growth;Use of assessment data to improve student outcomes.Preferred candidates will demonstrate: Experience teaching in an inclusive preschool or early childhood special education setting.Knowledge of early childhood development, Massachusetts Early Learning Guidelines, and evidence-based instructional practices.Experience supporting students with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorders, communication needs, sensory needs, and other disabilities.Knowledge and experience with early childhood assessment practices and progress monitoring.Strong organizational, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.Commitment to providing equitable access and meaningful learning opportunities for all students.West Boylston Public Schools is committed to fostering an inclusive educational environment where all students are valued, supported, and provided with opportunities to achieve academic, social, and developmental success.
