Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic 4K Lead Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a vibrant early childhood education environment. As a key leader in our preschool program, you will create a warm, engaging classroom where children can explore, learn, and develop essential skills. Your role will involve designing developmentally appropriate lessons, fostering positive behavior, and building strong relationships with children, families, and staff. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact during the crucial early years of childhood development while working in a supportive and dynamic team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement creative, age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional growth for 4-year-olds
- Manage daily classroom activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children
- Utilize effective behavior management strategies to support positive social interactions and emotional regulation
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress, address concerns, and foster collaborative relationships
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom staff to ensure high-quality instruction and adherence to program standards
- Maintain accurate records of child development progress, attendance, and incident reports in compliance with State and NAC Accreditation Standards
- Incorporate early intervention techniques when necessary to support children with special needs or developmental delays
- Develop age appropriate theme based lesson plans following WMELS Standards that include art, science, literacy, math, small and large motor activities, and large and small group that allow children to learn through play
Requirements
- Associates Degree or above
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, including preschool or daycare environments
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; (must be received within 6 months of employment)
- Ability to follow mandated reporting laws diligently and maintain confidentiality at all times
- Demonstrated ability to plan engaging lessons that foster learning through play and exploration

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
