Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Busser to join our team at Strouds in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Busser plays a crucial role in ensuring that our dining area remains clean and organized, enhancing the overall guest experience. This position requires a commitment to providing excellent customer service while supporting the waitstaff and kitchen staff in maintaining a smooth operation. Full time hours will be available if you are interested in learning host and carryout positions. This is a fast paced work environment.
Duties
- Clear and clean tables promptly after guests leave to prepare for the next customers.
- Assist servers by pre-bussing tables, refilling drinks, delivering food, and providing additional support as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including sweeping, mopping, and organizing utensils and condiments.
- Ensure all dishes, glassware, and silverware are properly cleaned and stored.
- Assist with setting up tables for special events or catering functions.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any issues that arise.
- Follow all food handling and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Skills
- Previous experience in the food service or hospitality industry is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations is a plus.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to restaurant operations.
