Duties
- Conduct comprehensive conflict of interest searches using legal case management systems such as iManage and document review platforms like Westlaw and LexisNexis.
- Review and analyze client intake forms, legal documents, and case files to identify potential conflicts related to estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, and other practice areas.
- Assist in maintaining and updating conflict databases with accurate and current information, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
- Support attorneys by preparing conflict check reports, summaries, and memos that facilitate swift decision-making.
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary client information through interviewing and communication, ensuring clarity and completeness.
- Manage legal document filing, organization, and document management system updates to streamline workflow.
- Provide administrative support including scheduling, correspondence handling, proofreading legal documents, and maintaining organized records for efficient case management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience or familiarity with legal support functions such as legal research, document review, or civil litigation support.
- Strong knowledge of procedural law across various practice areas including personal injury law, workers' compensation law, landlord-tenant law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, and general & commercial litigation.
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, and PCLaw; experience with iManage or similar document management systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for client interaction and internal collaboration; professional phone etiquette is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information discreetly and responsibly.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with legal writing and drafting skills.
- Prior paralegal experience or legal administrative experience is preferred; familiarity with procedural law knowledge across diverse practice areas is a plus.

Pay: $24.89 - $29.97 per hour
