General Purpose:
We are seeking a friendly and dependable Server to join our team for the morning, afternoon, and night shifts as a server. As a Server, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while providing exceptional food service. This individual will be responsible for the smooth operation of the opening shift, ensuring a great start to our customer’s day.
Server Duties:
- Open McCann’s and Golfers Grind ensure it’s ready for customers by the start of the morning shift. Work afternoons in McCann's and or evenings in 36 Degrees North Restaurant, work events as needed.
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso beverages according to customer preferences.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items.
- Serve light food items such as pastries, sandwiches, and other breakfast options.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the coffee bar and seating area.
- Restock supplies and monitor inventory levels to ensure smooth operation throughout the shift.
- Reviews daily schedules, calendar of events, and club activities.
- Accountable for all transactions through the Point-of-Sale system (Toast)
- Communicates guest concerns or comments immediately to the Director of Food and Beverage, Chef or Manager on Duty.
- Ensures a safe work environment and always follows safety protocols.
- Assists with setting tables and rearranging tables to accommodate larger parties.
- Provides immediate attention to all guests upon seating.
- Describes specials of the day to the guests. Answers questions regarding any menu item and offers suggestions of menu items when appropriate.
- Presents menus and assists guests in selecting food and beverage items.
- Delivers food to guests promptly after preparation.
- Confirms orders with the chefs and bartenders whenever clarification is requested.
- Ensures guest satisfaction. Anticipates guest needs, replenishes items as needed, and maintains a clean and clutter free table.
- Accountable for all payment transactions. Utilizes the Point-of-Sale System (Toast) properly and strives for 100% accuracy in all charges and transactions.
- Follows established training and systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders.
- Follows established standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery and general service techniques.
- Collaborates with other servers, kitchen, and bar staff before, during and after meal service periods to execute a “Guests Comes First” approach.
- Acknowledge all guests when arriving, during meal service and upon departure.
- Practices proper tray service for all food and beverage service.
- Prepares restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order.
- Follow tip reporting responsibilities.
- Works closely with restaurant management to immediately address all guest concerns.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 21 or older for this position,
- High School diploma or equivalent,
- 1 year of Food & Beverage experience,
- 1 year Server experience
Certificates/Licenses:
- Valid Driver’s License Required
- Food Handler Certificate
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
- Previous experience as a Barista is a plus.
- Previous experience as a Server required.

- Fluent in English speaking, writing, and understanding.
Physical Demands:
Frequently stands and walks; uses hands; reaches with arms and hands; stoops, kneels, or crouches; talks or hears. Occasionally sits. Frequently lift up to 25 pounds.
