CNC Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist who will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of CNC machines. The role involves setting up and operating machines, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring that all workpieces meet quality standards.
Responsibilities

Proactively maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

Load and unload mid-sized cast iron workpieces onto machine fixtures for production runs.

Use overhead cranes to set up and load fixtures onto machines using general hand tools, scales, and tape measures.

Start, restart, and rework programs using G&M code programming logic.

Utilize computer systems to interact with a Palletech System for machine operation.

Set up, change, and maintain tooling as needed for efficient production.

Ensure machines are in good working condition through routine maintenance and checks.

Monitor and maintain oil, lubricant, and coolant levels on a daily/weekly basis.

Perform accuracy checks using metric gauging, record results for documentation, and ensure parts meet quality standards.
Essential Skills

Proficiency in blueprint reading.

Experience with micrometers, calipers, and metric gauging.

Ability to operate and maintain lathe and mill machines.

Understanding of machining processes and tooling.

Knowledge of G code programming and editing.

Experience in setup and changeover procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in manual machining.

Capability to perform tooling setup and maintenance.

Proficiency in programming logic for CNC operations.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $29.00/hr.
