Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing attentive and friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted and accommodated
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards and proper food handling procedures
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and assisting with general restaurant sanitation tasks
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering duties and processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting overall restaurant operations
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring guest satisfaction at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms is advantageous
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience in serving roles including host/hostess duties or bussing enhances your ability to excel in this position
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Demonstrated sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently and effectively
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing
- Knowledge of reservation platforms like OpenTable is a plus for managing guest seating efficiently
