Are you passionate about working with insects and providing quality feeders for reptiles and farms? Join our small family-run business dedicated to breeding and providing top-notch insect feeders to our community. We're currently seeking a local individual to join our team part-time. A Day at the bug farm
- Feeding bugs: Lifting and lowering 30-gallon plastic totes (ranging from 10lbs to 30lbs), making visual assessments of the bugs.
- Sorting bugs: Separating colonies by identifying/sorting males, females, and juveniles, using a separator bin, calculating production, and recording data. Get bugs ready for sale or inventory them to put back in production.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Comfortable handling Dubia Roaches and worms
- High pace, independent worker, self-motivated
- Capable of standing and kneeling on concrete
- Flexible schedule (Monday through Thursday)
- Hours vary between 8am-5pm (4, 6, or 8-hour shifts)
- Reliable transportation
Responsibilities:
- Cutting produce for feed
- Feeding Dubia Roach tubs
- Sorting adult tubs
