Location: Fremont, CA
Nidec Genmark Automation is seeking a highly motivated and technically knowledgeable Account Sales Manager to support and grow our semiconductor automation business. This position requires a strong technical understanding of robotics, wafer handling, automation systems, and semiconductor manufacturing processes.
The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively with engineers, manufacturing teams, purchasing groups, and executive management while driving new business opportunities and managing key customer accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow existing semiconductor OEM and fab customer accounts
- Develop new business opportunities for robotics and automation solutions
- Conduct technical sales presentations and customer product demonstrations
- Work closely with engineering and applications teams to support customer requirements
- Understand customer automation challenges and recommend technical solutions
- Support quoting, pricing, forecasting, and contract negotiations
- Track projects from initial opportunity through production release
- Maintain strong customer relationships through regular site visits and communication
- Participate in trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events
- Maintain CRM updates, sales pipeline activity, and forecasting reports
- Meet quarterly and annual sales targets
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of technical sales or account management experience in:
- Semiconductor equipment
- Robotics
- Factory automation
- Motion control
- Capital equipment manufacturing
- Strong technical knowledge of semiconductor automation systems
- Ability to discuss technical concepts with engineering teams and customers
- Experience supporting OEMs, fabs, or high-tech manufacturing customers
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to travel for customer visits and industry events
- CRM and Microsoft Office experience required
