Part-time - Assistant Clinical Professor

The nursing program at Iowa State University is hiring a part-time Assistant Clinical Professor to develop and teach a graduate-level course for the Masters of Nursing in recurring fall semesters. This is a 9-month, 15% effort, position with a three-year term (renewable). The assigned course will be Advanced Practice Theory and Application. The faculty member will be responsible, in collaboration with the Director of Nursing Education and nursing faculty, to develop course content, including modules, readings, multimedia resources, assessments, and discussion prompts. In alignment with the overall curriculum, all content will integrate Open Educational Resources (OER), ensure content relevancy, and promote student-centered learning that adapts to a wide range of student needs and experiences. The faculty member will be the instructor of record for the course offered via an online approach in the fall semester. It is expected that the faculty member will participate in course review and revision based on feedback and evaluation metrics, meet project deadlines, and maintain regular communication with the course development team
Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Iowa
Doctoral degree (PhD, DrPH, DNP, EdD) in a relevant field.
Demonstrated expertise in the specified course disciplines, supported by academic and experiential qualifications.
Experience in curriculum development and/or instructional design, including online courses.
Strong written communication skills and the ability to present complex ideas clearly.
Ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning.
Familiarity with OER and digital pedagogy.
Completion of Quality Matters or similar instructional design training.
Experience working with graduate-level programs.
