POSITION: Salt Truck Driver / CDL-B Driver — Honeoye Falls
Location: 106 W Main St, Honeoye Falls, NY 14472
Schedule: On-call, seasonal — day, evening, and overnight shifts available
Compensation: $25.00–$35.00+/hr
License: Valid CDL-B required
Experience: Salt truck / winter driving preferred — we will train the right person
Whatever hour the storm rolls in, the plazas, medical offices, and commercial sites across our region still have to stay open and safe — and that takes drivers ready to answer the call, day or night. Snow doesn't keep a schedule, and neither do the people who beat it back.
If you've got a CDL-B and want winter work with real flexibility — day, evening, or overnight call-outs and real pay — this is the seat. You're not just plowing a lot; you're the reason a business can open its doors the morning after a storm.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Drive a salt truck and provide service-team support out of our Honeoye Falls headquarters, keeping client sites clear and safe during and after snow events across day, evening, and overnight shifts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safely drive a 2,500–5,500 gal salt truck in poor winter conditions on large sites or salt routes
- Load the salt truck with a loader or skid steer
- Adjust the salter controller to apply salt efficiently across varied conditions (roadway, open lot, loading dock, etc.)
- Provide service-team support across day, evening, and overnight shifts as storms and client needs require
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid CDL-B and a clean driving record
- Dependable and available for call-outs during snow events
- Able to pass a background check and site badging where client sites require it
- Comfortable working outdoors in winter conditions and wearing all required PPE
