Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to join our team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who is looking for a flexible schedule with the potential to transition into a full-time role. The PIC will be responsible for overseeing all pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations, and providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy.
- Manage and supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians.
- Ensure efficient workflow and a positive, collaborative work environment.
- Responsible for all aspects of medication dispensing and inventory management.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Maintain strict adherence to all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including those from the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
- Ensure all pharmacy practices meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain compliance.
Patient Care
- Provide expert counseling and advice to patients regarding their prescriptions and medication therapy.
- Resolve patient concerns and inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Leadership and Training
- Serve as a role model and mentor for all pharmacy staff.
- Provide ongoing training and performance evaluations for team members.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
