Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Manual Flatbed Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting pallets, crates, and lumber efficiently, while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various driving and delivery tasks. Our typical shift is Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Our delivery routes are all local, rarely exceeding a 50-mile delivery range.
Duties
- Operate manual 26' flatbed Freightliner and other company delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Secure pallets and lumber to flatbed trucks with ratchet and straps.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues as necessary.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from customers.
Requirements
- DOT Medical Card (must provide Medical Examiner's Certificate before first day of work).
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is NOT required based on company policies.
- Experience with route driving, delivery driving, and securing loads.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- A commitment to safety practices while on the road and during loading/unloading activities.
- Clean three years DMV print out required.
