Southern Hills Country Club has a new opportunity for a Children's Activities Coordinator. The successful candidate will oversee the full range of social youth activities as well as operations of our private, come-and-go child care center, the Treehouse, for member children and grandchildren (usually) ages one to 12. He/she will:
- Spend most of his/her time (30+ hours per week) caring for children in the Treehouse
- Develop, plan, schedule, organize and execute fun and enriching youth activities throughout the year for children ranging in age from toddlers to tweens
- Recommend new youth programming ideas to enhance our members’ experience
- Coordinate summer programming, including Day Camp, for school-aged children
- Be responsible for youth activities in collaboration with other departments including Golf, Tennis, Health & Wellness, and Pool
- Manage billing, staffing, scheduling, safety/housekeeping and programming in the Treehouse
- Prioritize children's safety; ensure hygiene and good housekeeping of child care facility
- Ensure the highest quality of service is provided to Southern Hills Country Club members and their children and grandchildren
Skills & Abilities:
- Experience in a childcare setting required, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role
- Formal education and/or training in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy necessary
- First Aid, CPR and AED training preferred or must be able to obtain upon hire
- Physical ability to lift and carry children up to 50 pounds necessary
Hours & Pay:
- Tuesday - Friday: 8:30-4:30
- Mondays generally closed; occasional Monday shifts may be required
- Hours may differ during camp sessions
- Occasional evenings and weekends may be required
- Typical weekly hours of work vary based on children's activities, but are usually between 20-30
- This is an hourly-paid, overtime-eligible position
- Year-round position
- $28/hr.
