Overview
Join our team as a Low Boy Truck Driver! This role offers the opportunity to operate a W900 and low-boy trailer. As a key player on our team, you'll operate, load, and secure equipment while ensuring safe and efficient deliveries. Hauling other types of freight will also be apart of this position. Pay is hourly.
Duties
- Safely operate semi-truck and other commercial trucks to transport freight across designated routes
- Load and unload equipment
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Follow planned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company policies
- Communicate effectively regarding route updates or delivery issues
- Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance checks on assigned vehicles to ensure optimal performance
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
- Proven experience in truck driving
- Experience operating manual transmissions and various trailer types
- Experience operating heavy equipment
- Ability to load & unload freight safely
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving
- Experience with load securement techniques for different cargo types
- Strong navigation skills and ability to follow detailed routes accurately
