Commonwealth Vein Center is a busy Vascular practice with locations in Colonial Heights and Midlothian , Lawrenceville and Crewe with an opening for a full-time medical receptionist.The hours of the position are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. Weekends and on-call are not required for this position.

Experience in a medical office and with medical records is required and we will not interview candidates that do not have this experience. Experience with E-clinical and Streamline is preferred. Knowledge with Microsoft is required.
The primary responsibility of our front desk team member is making patient appointments; however, they may perform other tasks as well: gathering patient information, handling insurance documentation, managing front desk operations, collecting payments and maintaining inventory.
Job Duties:
- Communicating effectively with patients and medical professionals
- Scheduling patients, taking into consideration of patient location, facility capabilities, insurance requirements, and type of exam
- Follow up with doctors' offices to ensure proper exams are scheduled
- Perform administrative tasks as needed
- Maintained database of medical records to include creating, modifying and processing files as necessary.
- Maintained and organized a professional environment for patients and physicians.
- Routinely addressed patient questions and concerns such as regarding medical procedures and policies.
- Answering phones, greeting/checking in patients when they arrive and checking out patients/ when they leave, and working with patients regarding their physician's appointment.
- Politely assist customers via telephone and in office
- Provide an elevated customer experience to generate a loyal clientele.
- Develop reputation as an efficient service provider with high levels of accuracy.
- Manage wide variety of customer service and administrative tasks to resolve customer issues quickly and efficiently.
- Collecting copays and patient balance
Job Requirements:
- Must have at least 3 years of experience working as a front desk receptionist in a medical officeis REQUIRED (Vascular/Cardiology preferred)
- Knowledge on Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Efficient in using Microsoft Office and general computer skills
- Detail oriented
- Bilingual is a plus
- Travel Between Offices
- Adhere to safety standards and maintain HIPAA/OSHA compliance
- High school diploma or equivalent
NO ON CALL HOURS REQUIRED and NO WEEKENDS.
