Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times
- Assist with planning and implementing age-appropriate educational games, arts and crafts, and recreational activities
- Support children’s emotional well-being by providing encouragement, comfort, and positive reinforcement
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom or activity space in accordance with safety standards
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children’s daily experiences and needs
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth daily schedule and address any behavioral or developmental concerns
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or summer camps is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific needs for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with disabilities
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; training can be provided if needed
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Experience working with individuals with special needs or in inclusive education environments is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging activities that promote learning and social interaction
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
