Quandary Consultants is seeking a Senior Air Quality Scientist to join our growing Air Quality team. This position will support various new and existing air quality permitting and compliance Oil and Gas projects including, preparation of emission inventories, permit application development, regulatory review, compliance recordkeeping, greenhouse gas reporting air monitoring, etc.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Professional demeanor and experience writing technical reports
- Strong attention to detail and able to follow specific directions and tasks
- Team player; receptive to feedback and open to constructive criticism
- Capable of managing projects, meeting budgets, and being the main point of communication for client contact
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced and challenging environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft excel, including use of pivot tables
- Strong understanding of air quality compliance requirements in various states
- Experience with clean air act (NSPS OOO/a/b/c, KKKK, JJJJ, KKK, VV VVA GG)
- Familiarity with oil and gas equipment, operational practices, field environment and technical and engineering terms related to these practices
- Ability to read through complex stat and federal regulations to determine applicability to varying client facilities and scenarios
- Monitor federal, state, and local air quality regulations and rulemakings
- Participate in trade and professional associations to support the above responsibilities
- Demonstrates initiative by appropriately taking charge of situations
- Strong verbal skills and ability to lead meetings with staff on air quality permitting and compliance
- Valid drivers license and proven safe driving record
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or related field required
- 9+ years of experience in air quality permitting and compliance, environmental consulting, or a related field
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Standing and sitting for prolonged periods of time
- Inclement weather conditions when field work is required
- Occasional travel (5-10% annually) including overnight stay
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Expected Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 annually, DOE
Job Type: Full-time Exempt
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 + hours per week
Work Location: Denver, CO: Reliably commute to Denver Office
