- Position serves the following age groups: neonate/child (0-3), child (4-12), adolescent (13-17), adult (18-64), and older adult (65+)
As a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) you will collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to promote optimum patient rehabilitation. Provides Speech- Language Pathology services as defined by the California Speech-Language Pathology Practice Act, applying the principles, methods, and procedures for the screening, evaluation, and treatment of disorders of speech, voice, cognition, language, and swallow.
Qualifications
- Completion of Accredited Speech-Language Pathology Program; Masters degree required
- Minimum of three (3) years’ full-time clinical experience (For Inpatient SLPs, experience must be in acute hospital setting); if working in NICU, at least one year experience in NICU care
- For Outpatient SLPs: Demonstrated proficiency in video swallow studies (VFSS/MBSS) within 6 months of hire
- For Inpatient SLPs: Demonstrated proficiency in both VFSS/MBSS and FEES by within 6 months of hire
License/Certification/Registration Requirements
- Current valid California Speech-Language Pathology license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence as required by the State of California
- Current BLS (Basic Lifesaving Certification - American Heart Association) for Healthcare Provider
- Valid California drivers license and proof of automobile insurance
- CCS-Paneled or in process if working in NICU/OP Pediatrics
