Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychologist to join our mental health team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in psychological assessment and treatment, with a focus on providing high-quality care to diverse populations, including children. This role involves working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients in various settings, including inpatient facilities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to assess patients' mental health needs.
- Provide individual therapy tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
- Administer psychological testing to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Develop treatment plans based on clinical assessments and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff or interns in clinical settings, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Offer mental health counseling services to patients, focusing on evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
- Work with children and adolescents, employing age-appropriate strategies for engagement and support.
- Engage with geriatric populations, addressing their specific psychological needs and challenges.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
Experience
- A Doctorate in Psychology from an accredited institution is required (Masters will be considered)
- Experience in conducting diagnostic evaluations and psychological testing is essential.
- Previous experience working with children, adolescents, and geriatric patients is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with inpatient settings and the ability to manage crisis situations effectively is preferred.
- Strong skills in clinical counseling, individual/group therapy, and mental health interventions are necessary.
- Experience supervising or mentoring other mental health professionals or interns is a plus.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advancements in the field of psychology is expected.
