Position Overview
We are seeking a Radio Technician to join an established technical services team supporting mission-critical communications systems. This role is responsible for the installation, programming, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of wireless communications equipment for customers in public safety, healthcare, utilities, manufacturing, and other critical infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, program, configure, and maintain complex communications equipment and systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair system issues to restore customer communications services quickly and effectively.
- Perform system upgrades and implement new technologies and solutions.
- Work closely with customers, project teams, and management to ensure successful project completion and customer satisfaction.
- Complete service tickets, documentation, and reports accurately and on schedule.
- Perform software and firmware updates on customer equipment.
- Make minor modifications to electronic circuitry as required.
- Participate in an on call rotation and provide after hours support for critical systems.
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience installing, programming, troubleshooting, or repairing communications systems or related electronic equipment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of, or willingness to learn, two way radio theory and communications technologies.
- Experience using electronic test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, service monitors, watt meters, TDRs, FDRs, multimeters, or similar diagnostic tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electronics, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Experience with P25, MotoTRBO, or other Land Mobile Radio (LMR) technologies.
- CET certification or other relevant industry certifications.
- Experience supporting public safety or mission critical communications environments.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, and inclement weather.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting are required.
- Must be able to safely lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders, operate a motor vehicle, and work at customer locations as needed.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.
Schedule
- Primarily first shift, Monday through Friday.
- Occasional evening, overnight, weekend, and emergency response work may be required based on project schedules and customer needs.
- Participation in an on call rotation is required.
Travel
- Travel within the assigned service area and surrounding regions is required to support customer and business needs.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
