Position Title: Facility Technician Assistant – Cannabis
Shift Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Classification: Full-Time, Hourly
Pay: $17.50 - $19.00 Based on Experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This is a highly labor-intensive position requiring prolonged standing, lifting, bending, and repetitive movement.
Job Summary:
Ascension Biomedical is seeking a dedicated Facility Technician Assistant to support the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall functionality of our facility. This role places a strong emphasis on detailed janitorial responsibilities while also assisting with general maintenance tasks under the direction of the Facilities/Maintenance Supervisor. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant environment. The goal is to ensure all facility spaces, including offices, common areas, and production environments, are consistently maintained to the highest standards.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Skills:
Perform detailed janitorial cleaning of all facility areas, including offices, breakrooms, restrooms, and common spaces
Clean, disinfect, and sanitize high-touch surfaces in accordance with health and safety standards
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors to ensure a clean and hazard-free environment
Manage waste removal, including operation of the industrial shredder for proper disposal
Wash, dry, and properly store laundry using company-provided equipment
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when restocking is needed
Assist with general facility upkeep, including minor repairs, painting, and basic carpentry tasks
Support maintenance of HVAC systems, irrigation systems, and other building systems as directed
Perform light landscaping and exterior upkeep to maintain facility appearance
Inspect facility areas for cleanliness, safety concerns, or maintenance needs and report issues promptly
Assist in maintaining compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements
Work independently and efficiently while following established procedures and guidelines
Support additional cleaning projects and deep-cleaning initiatives as assigned
Qualifications:
Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or facility support roles preferred
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
Ability to follow safety protocols and cleaning procedures
Physically capable of performing demanding labor tasks
Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
Pay: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour
