JOB Plans, implements, and oversees conservation andlandstewardshipinitiatives while serving as working supervisor. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- Assists with supervision, coordination and/or implementation of natural resources/land stewardship work program and/or special assignments in target areas in a timely and efficient fashion as assigned and scheduled. Regularly reports progress to supervisor.

Coordinates, conducts, and serves as a working supervisor of land stewardship activities; identifies exotic and invasive plant and animal species and assists in developing plans and techniques and carries out the control or eradication of same. Recommends and coordinates management activities. Trains other staff and volunteers in proper land stewardship techniques.

Conducts environmental inventories and collects historical information in the field and fromothersourcesforuseindevelopmentofnaturalresourcesmanagementplansfor specific park properties.

Assistswithresearchingpotentialcostsandrevenues,assistswithbudgetsandmonitoringsame for specificproject,activities,orforgeneraloperationofassignedproperties.

Determines materials, equipment, and methods needed to implement natural resources restoration projects and other vegetation management projects.

Oversee and perform quality checks on all contract work performed in project areas.

Keepswrittenrecords,inventories,andmakeswrittenreportsasrequiredand/or assigned.

Uses proper personal protective equipment, follows safety protocols, and uses tools and equipmentappropriatelytoensurethesafetyofthemselvesandothers.Immediately reports safety concerns.

Regularly uses a variety of hand and power tools.

Operates licensed and non-licensed motor vehicles.

Assists with planning, supervising, coordinating and/or performing conservation, plant and animal surveys, wildlife management, water resources management, and land stewardship activities in assigned areas.

Plans, organizes, and presents public education programs, public programming, and special events as assigned.

Assists with annual reviews, corrective guidance, scheduling and supervising of other employees, and/or volunteers assigned to stewardship activities.

Maintains accurate records of tasks performed including but not limited to time sheets, vehicle mileage, equipment usage, etc.

Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Work Environment & Schedule:
Employment in this position requires availability for a rotating schedule, at a standard 40-hour workweek. Overtime may be occasionally scheduled. Ability to work in all outside weather conditions; wet and/or humid conditions, extreme cold (below 32 F degrees) and extreme heat (above 90 F degrees). Ability to work around various outdoor contaminants, such as pesticides, herbicides, and airborne and plant allergens. Some work assignments and tasks will require exposure to and work in inclement weather conditions.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to move about consistently during shift, position self to use and maintain equipment, and inspect sites to detect safety concerns. The employee may occasionally move up to 50 pounds.
