California Miramar University (CalMU) is an established university expanding its presence in the San Jose market through a new campus location. We are seeking a relationship-driven, results-oriented professional to help grow local awareness, build strong school and community partnerships, and drive student enrollment growth.
This is a newly created role designed to support the growth of our new San Jose campus. It is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to help build outreach and partnership efforts in a growing market, create meaningful external relationships, and make a visible impact.
We are looking for someone with direct experience building and managing relationships with high schools, community colleges, counselors, advisors, and community partners for the purpose of generating student interest, inquiries, applications, and enrollments.
The right candidate understands how to open doors, represent a university professionally, build trust with school and community stakeholders, and translate outreach efforts into a measurable enrollment pipeline.
Position Summary
The High School and Community College Outreach and Enrollment Partnerships Manager serves as CalMU’s field-based representative and is responsible for developing and strengthening external relationships that support student recruitment and enrollment growth for the San Jose campus.
This role leads outreach efforts with high schools, community colleges, transfer centers, counselors, advisors, and community organizations, with a clear focus on generating student interest, inquiries, applications, and enrollments.
This position owns a defined outreach territory and is accountable for executing a focused outreach strategy, developing partnership opportunities, and building a consistent, high-quality enrollment pipeline with measurable results.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with high school counselors, administrators, community college counselors, transfer centers, faculty, and community-based organizations
- Represent CalMU at school visits, college fairs, community events, presentations, workshops, and enrollment-focused outreach activities
- Develop and execute a territory outreach plan designed to increase student inquiries, applications, and enrollments
- Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities that strengthen CalMU’s visibility and student pipeline
- Help build this outreach and partnership function from the ground up for the San Jose campus
- Drive generation of qualified student inquiries, applications, and enrollments through outreach and partnership activities
- Own and manage an active enrollment pipeline, tracking leads from initial outreach through application and enrollment
- Monitor and improve conversion rates from outreach activity to inquiry, application, and enrollment
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for prospective students, school partners, and community stakeholders
- Coordinate outreach presentations and informational sessions for prospective students and referral partners
- Track outreach activity, partnership development, lead generation, and conversion outcomes using CRM and reporting tools
- Collaborate closely with admissions and university leadership to align outreach efforts with enrollment goals
- Provide regular updates on pipeline activity, partnership progress, event outcomes, and market opportunities
- Identify barriers to enrollment and provide actionable recommendations to improve conversion and outreach effectiveness

- Strong communication, follow-up, and relationship management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a self-directed outreach territory
- Strong organizational skills and comfort tracking activity, pipeline, and results
- Ability to travel locally as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in higher education admissions, enrollment, outreach, or transfer recruitment
- Existing relationships within the San Jose / Bay Area education community
- Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar tools
- Experience connecting outreach efforts to measurable enrollment outcomes

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
