We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team! This shift is primarily for 2nd shift with hours from 2pm to 10pm. Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and electrical equipment in public spaces and guest rooms.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on appliances, air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and mechanical components using schematics and technical manuals.
- Work with Chief engineer to ensure all IHG requirements are completed.
- Utilize schematics and technical drawings to diagnose system failures and execute accurate repairs or replacements.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and inspections completed for compliance and future reference.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation of critical systems.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, or mechanical maintenance.
- Demonstrated ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints effectively.
- Hands-on experience with equipment repair, troubleshooting electrical systems, and performing preventive maintenance.
- Knowledge of construction practices related to facility upgrades or renovations is a plus.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide team members or coordinate with external contractors when necessary.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications such as HVAC/R license or equivalent are preferred; ongoing training is encouraged to stay current with industry standards.
